Flavours of Japan on the way to town

THE popular Liverpool restaurant Mr Miyagi is coming to Ormskirk very soon. With an array of traditional Japanese meals and bespoke cocktails to complement them, it is hoped that the restaurant will make a delicious addition to the Ormskirk food and drink scene.

The restaurant prides itself on its laidback style and is always changing and adapting the food and drinks menu to keep ahead of the curve.

The restaurant is hoping to be a hit with Ormskirk residents.

Already boasting two sites – in Liverpool city centre and the student area of Allerton Road – the decision to bring their business out to West Lancashire has came as a surprise.

Mr Miyagi promises a new late-night menu to accompany the three nights of live music it will be hosting.

The announcement about the upcoming restaurant was made on Twitter on Friday.

A spokesperson for Miyagi’s said: “Mr M is pleased to announce he is opening up his third unit in the site formerly home to Cafe Bar and more recently Salt & Liquor.

‘‘Due to open early 2017, Mr M will be bringing Japanese-inspired soul food and his late night music lounge, Soul, Beats, Liquor & Eats.”

The new eatery will be based at 36 Derby Street in Ormskirk and will, hopefully, be open to the public in the early months of 2017.
