Donation helps divers make a splash

-

PENSIONS services provider MyCSP has donated £200, raised through the MyCSP Community Fund, to the Burscough Diving Club to buy new equipment.

Children from all over the North West come together every week to train with the club in pools in Skelmersdale and Bury.

It runs competitive as well as recreational programmes, competing year-round, with a number of team members often making it to national level competitions.

Liliana Gonzalez, employee partner at Liverpool-based MyCSP, who applied for the donation and whose daughter is the club’s youngest member, said: “The club provides a professional and fun opportunity for children to get involved in this fantastic sport.

“They’re all hard-working dedicated children and love what they do. The confidence it builds and the friendships they make are worth it on its own.

“Their diving success is an added bonus!

“We’re all extremely grateful for the donation from MyCSP.”

David Boardman, communications director at MyCSP said: “The community fund was set up almost 12 months ago to provide employee partners with the opportunity to participate directly in how our charitable donations are distributed.

“We’re committed to helping local communities where clubs such as this not only unearth talent but make a real difference to children’s lives.”
