Winter tales to beat the blues
BEAT the winter blues by coming along to the Chapel Gallery in Ormskirk to enjoy its latest exciting event.
Visitors can see Alice return from her Wonderland, Jack scramble down his beanstalk, see Shakespearean fairies emerge from their forests at the Winter Tales exhibition.
This event opens on November 19 at the West Lancashire Borough Council run-gallery with free family friendly activities, including how to make a snowy landscape.
Throughout the winter months visitors are invited to explore this exhibition, discovering artworks that will fascinate and delight.
The exhibition runs until Saturday, January 21.
This is an exhibition inspired by storytelling: enchanting fables, exotic tales and personal narratives.
Exhibiting Artists are Jac Balmer, Mychael Barratt, Mary Campbell, Val Jackson, Shirlee McGuire, Judy Musselle, Ruth Packham, Gill Smith, Steve Talbot, Mark Uttley and Louise Wood.
The annual Objects of Desire exhibition starts on Wednesday, November 16 and offers visitors the chance to pick up a unique Christmas gift from a selection of some of the best contemporary craft in the UK.
Items on sale include glassware, ceramics, jewellery, limited edition prints, textiles and accessories.
There’s nothing mass produced in this showcase, which runs until January 21, as everything is lovingly created by the maker.
