Community Link Foundation
COMMUNITY Link Foundation is organising a Christmas jumper day and wants you to take part.
This will be the second year that the event has been held and CLF hopes that even more people and businesses will get involved this year.
In 2015, there was a great response from businesses including BabyBallet Southport, Anthony James Estate Agents and Barron Financial Services.
Norwood Primary School and Range High School in Formby were among the schools to join in.
The aim of the day is to put the “fun” into fundraising in the run up to Christmas.
CLF hopes that people will get involved in wearing their festive jumper on the day in exchange for a small donation.
The aim is to raise awareness of the charity, while also raising money for it.
CLF helps people in South- port, Ormskirk, Formby and surrounding areas who need financial support.
A date of December 9 is suggested, but you can take part on a day to suit.
Enda Rylands, chair of the Community Link Foundation, said: “People really seemed to enjoy getting involved with this last year and we are really hoping to build on its success.
“We are really hoping that people will get involved with their friends and colleagues and have some fun, knowing that people in the local community will benefit from the money raised.”
If you are interested in taking part or would like more information, please email nkenyon @clfoundation.co.uk or look up Community Link Foundation on Facebook and Twitter.
David Barron organised a darts night for Community Link Foundation and it was held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on Friday night. It raised an amazing £15,000. The full story and photographs from the event will be featured in next week’s paper.
