Big day to mark 50 years of Light Rail

IT’S West Lancashire Light Railway’s 50th Anniversary in 2017.

And this Sunday, March 26 will mark the opening of its 50th Anniversary season by the Mayor of West Lancashire, Councillor Liz Furey, at 1.30pm.

Steam trains will run every 20 minutes for the rest of the afternoon – the last train departs at 4.30pm.

To celebrate Mother’s Day a special discount family ticket will be available for families including mums £7 (usually £9).

April 2 – Friendly Engines.

April 16-17 – Easter Egg Hunts.
