Stand for elec­tion by reg­is­ter­ing your in­ter­est

LAN­CASHIRE County Coun­cil is re­mind­ing peo­ple of the dead­line to reg­is­ter their in­ter­est in stand­ing as can­di­dates for the coun­cil elec­tion in May.

Nom­i­na­tions open af­ter to­mor­row, Fri­day, March 24 when the elec­tion is for­mally called, and close at 4pm on Tues­day, April 4.

Forms can be ob­tained from your lo­cal district elec­tions of­fice.

De­tails are avail­able at www. lan­cashire.gov.uk/elec­tions

The county coun­cil is hold­ing lo­cal elec­tions on Thurs­day, May 4 and new can­di­dates are needed to rep­re­sent their ar­eas.

There will be 84 seats avail­able to cover all of Lan­cashire.
