Stand for election by registering your interest

LANCASHIRE County Council is reminding people of the deadline to register their interest in standing as candidates for the council election in May.

Nominations open after tomorrow, Friday, March 24 when the election is formally called, and close at 4pm on Tuesday, April 4.

Forms can be obtained from your local district elections office.

The county council is holding local elections on Thursday, May 4 and new candidates are needed to represent their areas.

There will be 84 seats available to cover all of Lancashire.
