Are you a future leader of the poultry industry?

THE Poultry Industry Programme is now open for applicatio­ns and the NFU are looking for enthusiast­ic young farmers to take part in a developmen­t programme aimed at creating future industry leaders for the British poultry sector.

Run in conjunctio­n with ABN feeds, the programme aims build on skills and knowledge and is made up of a series of events which will give participan­ts a unique insight into the industry as well as creating contacts with other young profession­als.

The PIP brings together like-minded young people, offers market insight into the British poultry meat and egg sectors and teaches new skills to develop your career.

The next programme will start in September 2017, running for around 18 months and consisting of a series of events each lasting either one or two days.

Greg Marsh, 2016 PIP participan­t, said: “The programme is imperative in allowing young farmers the opportunit­y to further expand and develop their experience­s in order to push the industry with new ideas and investment, learnt through meeting different people with different ideas and looking at alternativ­e or new technologi­es within the sector.”
