SHEEP Top Spots: New: 280.0p/kg 42.3 kg Texel Crosses-Jonathan Worthington, Alderley; Old: 212.0p/ kg 47.0kg Texel Crosses - Jonathan Worthington. Heavy rain overnight deterred a few producers, concerned about selling wet lambs, and there is no doubt that buyers were under orders to ‘go steady’ on lambs carrying a lot of rainwater. The low entry, however, meant that those who risked it met a super trade throughout, with dry, well presented lambs in particular, selling very well throughout. POTATOES New potatoes to £7.50 per bag. FRUIT & VEG A little bit more vegetables and eggs in, but much more needed. PRODUCE Decent trade for Winter Barley Straw with Big Bale Loads at £87 per tonne twice. Small baled Hay made £2.50 per bale. Haylage made £10 per bale (regular vendor will be bringing Haylage each week).
