Ormskirk BC are ready to roll again

-

ORMSKIRK Bowling Club has hailed its first two taster sessions as such a success that it’s going to open its doors again for two more sessions for anyone to come along and have a go on its new artificial bowling green.

The taster sessions attracted a total of 17 people of all ages and feedback was really positive with several beginners wanting to join the Club already.

So if you fancy joining in, now is the ideal opportunity to come and try a different sport that is suitable for all the family, young or old, and also have the opportunity to gain new friends.

Simple to learn but a bit more difficult to master, bowls is the ideal sport for all ages that anyone can try.

The next two free taster sessions are being run on Thursday, June 15 (7.15pm to approximately 9pm) and Saturday, June 17 (2pm – 5pm) – attend one or both sessions for as long as you wish and no booking is necessary.

No special equipment is needed – all you need to bring is a pair of trainers to play in.

For those that enjoy it there will be further coaching sessions held.

The club is located at the back of Ormskirk Cricket Club, off Altys Lane, Ormskirk, and there is plenty of parking available.

The Club also runs junior bowling sessions on Thursdays at 6pm and anyone aged between 8-16 is welcome to come and have a go – it is free for the first session.
