Don’t miss the chance to vote

HOUSEHOLDS in West Lancashire will soon receive a form asking people to check whether the information that appears on the electoral register for those living at their address is correct.

This marks the start of the annual voter registration canvass.

The aim is to ensure that the electoral register is up to date and to identify any residents who are not yet registered.

West Lancashire Borough Council elections are to take place on Thursday, May 3 2018, this is an opportunity for residents to make sure they will be able to vote.

Kim Webber, the council’s electoral registration officer said: “To make sure you are able to have your say at the elections next year, simply check the form when it arrives and return it as promptly as possible.”
