AWEST Lancashire man killed in a motorbike accident was due to get married in two weeks’ time.

Tony Lawson, 27, died after a crash on the A5 between Betws-y-Coed and the Swallow Falls. Mr Lawson, who grew up in Skelmersdale and spent the past four years living with his fiancée, Danielle, in Wirral, was pronounced dead after the incident at 1pm on Sunday, July 9.

His grieving family paid tribute to him, saying: “He died doing what he loved.”

His relatives said: “Tony was a humble, kind, gentle and loving person.

“He will be sadly missed by all that he touched in his short life. He was a wonderful son to Tina and Steve, and a loving brother, cousin, uncle, nephew and fiancé.

“He was to be married less than three weeks after his untimely passing to his ever adoring partner, Danielle.”

Mr Lawson also worked at a supermarket in Birkenhead, where he was highly thought of by all of his coworkers.

His family added: “He was a person who was always willing to help whenever he could.

“He loved to ride his motorbike and died doing what he loved.

“It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place but will forever remain a dark day in our memory. Rest in peace Tony.”

North Wales police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting reference V102547.
