Small change ... big difference

-

IT’S such a simple gesture that so many of us do without even thinking. You walk past a collection tin or bucket with a familiar charity on and reach in your pocket or purse and pop in a couple of coins.

This simple action of giving Queenscourt Hospice your loose change means so much.

Every penny you put in one of our collection tins or buckets really does help make a difference to the lives of local families.

Last year alone your loose change added up to an amazing £8,097.51!

This could help provide 32 nights of specialist nursing care in a patient’s own home.

Thank you so much to everyone who has stopped and dropped a coin or two.

We wouldn’t be able to collect your loose change without our committed group of volunteers who willingly turn out to shake a bucket or tin, come rain or shine.

Not only do these charity collections raise much needed funds they also help raise awareness of the vital work of Queenscourt Hospice. Thank you so much. We’d also like to thank all the local supermarkets, shopping centres, businesses, fetes and events for giving us the opportunity to collect.

A collection tin or bucket might only be filled with small change but that small change makes a such big difference to the lives of local patients and their families. How you can help…. Volunteer collectors – Could you spare a couple of hours a month to help with an upcoming bucket collection?

Collection locations – Do you know of any stores or events in Southport, Formby or West Lancashire who would be willing to host a collection for Queenscourt?

Collect at work – Would you like to have a collection tin displayed in your place of work to help raise funds for the hospice?

Collect at home – How about having one of our handy cardboard home collection boxes to pop your loose change in?
