Di­a­mond cou­ple!

SOUTH­PORT cou­ple Bob and June Percy will be cel­e­brat­ing their Di­a­mond Wed­ding An­niver­sary on July 27, 2017.

Bob Percy and June Snape mar­ried at St John’s Church in Birk­dale on July 27, 1957.

They first met as teenagers – he was a keen cy­clist with a job re­pair­ing type­writ­ers and she was a keen Mor­ris dancer with a type­writer that needed re­pair­ing.

He made such a good job of it that she agreed to go on a date with him at the Gar­rick The­atre on Lord Street.

Sixty years, two chil­dren and two grand­chil­dren later, at 86 and 82 re­spec­tively, Bob and June are still very hap­pily mar­ried.

Their chil­dren Chris­tine and David con­grat­u­late them on this won­der­ful achieve­ment!
