Our soaraway charity success

support of two national companies.

Both Lesley Kirkbride, Tesco’s community champion, and Alex Chattaway, McDonald’s store manager, were delighted with how well the event went.

Alex explained: “Here at McDonald’s, Kew, we regularly raise money for the Alder Hey Ronald McDonald Children Home. However, we have on this occasion decided to choose a local community project to help. We have about 150 staff members and the business is open 24 hours a day.

“We often serve lots of people visiting Queenscourt and the local spinal unit, so we are really excited about making these new links with the local community.”

Lesley added: “It was a great atmosphere and wonderful to see all the kids, and grown-ups, too, so excited to be involved.

“We’re now all looking big forward to seeing how far they go and announcing our winner!”

The winner will be announced in January 2018, so watch this space.
