HUNDREDS of guests gathered to preview this years Farmaggedon - and it was a great success.

The annual scare attraction impressed visitors on Tuesday, September 12.

Farmaggedon is at Farmer Teds on Flatman’s Lane, Downholland, in Ormskirk, and runs from September 30 until the end of October.

Visitors made their way through each of the four venues.

The houses on offer were The Meat Locker, Fear On The Farm, Contagion and Zombie Outlaw - which was a crowd favourite.

Zombie Outlaw allowed guests to board a vehicle and be driven around the cornfields to ‘kill’ zombies with paintballs.

The owner and organiser of Farmaggedon, Mark Edwards, said: “There was a very good turn out.

“I was slightly disappointed that it was raining, but 90% of the park is now under cover so it didn’t effect us too badly.”

Among the crowds of people at the event, there were some well-known faces.

Dolly-Rose Campbell, who plays Gemma in ITV’s Coronation Street, was one of the celebrities in attendance.

She said: “It is really good fun, and there is a great atmosphere.

“This is my first time here, and I would definitely return.”

Facebook sensation “Kevs Cabs” was also impressed by the event.

He said: “This is my first time here, and I am really glad I came. It is amazing, I’m terrified. The magicians are great too.”

Mark added: “I am really happy with the outcome this year, so much time and effort has gone into creating it.

“This year there are 118 zombies and monsters located in the area, it really is bigger than ever.”
