With Cllr Neil Furey
ON THURSDAY, November 16 I attended a presentation evening for Year 11 leavers at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Engineering College in Skelmersdale.
I really enjoyed presenting students with their examination certificates.
It was a very enjoyable evening and it was great to see local children doing so well in their school examinations.
Well done to all the students and teaching staff for all their hard work.
I wish all the students well in their further education and employment.
On Friday, November 17 I attended the Christmas Lights switch-on at Skelmersdale Concourse.
I was joined on stage by Father Christmas and X Factor star Jake Quickenden.
It was great to see so many people enjoying the entertainment.
We have now entered the busy Christmas shopping period and hope everyone is enjoying this time of year as we build up to December 25.
