Prison term looms for cannabis farm grower
A MAGHULL man is facing prison after a cannabis farm worth up to £16,000 was found in his home.
Matthew Rogerson, 31, of Moorhey Road, appeared at South Sefton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 7, where he pleaded guilty to growing the Class B drug.
Angela Conlon, prosecuting, told the court that police raided Rogerson’s home on October 21 last year, finding 26 cannabis plants, estimated to be worth £10,400-16,000.
She said the prosecution would be seeking a jail sentence of at least a year.
Rogerson, 31, will be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, March 7.
