Livvy begins her journey to fame
TALENTED Scarisbrick teenager Livvy K has officially launched her debut EP.
Livvy – 16-year-old Olivia Karalius – performed songs from The Journey Begins at the event for 250 invited guests at Khepri, in Lord Street, Southport.
There were several live sets throughout the evening, and the final song Livvy performed was No Darkness – which is about battling and defeating cancer.
As her mum, Michelle, has previously suffered with cancer, she sang directly to her in an heartfelt tribute.
Guests also had the opportunity to view some music videos she had created.
Livvy said: “The anticipation is my favourite part, I love thinking about the rush that comes over you when performing in front of people.
“The night was amazing, it was great to perform in front of my friends and family.”
The opportunity to create her own music arose when she was scouted by KMGLife, a recording school based in America, after executives saw a video of her performing.
This came at a time when the former Burscough Priory student was deciding which performance college to attend in London, but ultimately decided to pursue her dream of singing.
The EP took Livvy about five months to create and was recorded in Denver, Colorado, while working alongside her song writer and creative director, John Gillette, and his team.
John, who attended the launch night on January 26, said: “The night was a success in every sense of the word.
“Most artists her age are too green to truly understand what’s happening around them. They just do what they are told and smile for the camera.
“This was absolutely not the case with Livvy K, as there were never any nerves from this kid.
“Over the course of recording, I have never seen an artist grow at the rate that she has.”
Since the launch took place in Southport, the EP has been released worldwide on many streaming and download sites and Livvy has been overwhelmed received.
She said: “I feel so lucky to have such an amazing support group locally and truly feel special from the love I have received. I’m excited for all that has happened and what is yet to come.” by the support
