Love your local hospice

-

THIS Valentine’s Day we’re on a mission to raise awareness of our special kind of care and how we urgently need more donations to reach those who need it most.

Each year the team at your local hospice gives vital care to over 800 local people with progressive and incurable illnesses.

But we can’t do this alone, we rely on the support of people like you.

If you are someone who has been touched by our care you’ll know how important it is that we keep supporting local families.

John’s Queenscourt story began when his wife Sue was cared for by the team at the hospice in 2013, in the later stages of her illness.

The support given to his wife and family has inspired John to raise thousands through sponsored walks and bike rides, he also volunteers at Queenscourt.

John said: “I know first-hand the difference Queenscourt makes at such a difficult time.

“I was so grateful for the care and sensitivity shown to my wife and the support given to me and my family”

Queenscourt love is…

Giving patients the support they need to live with their illness.

Helping patients make the most of their precious time.

Knowing it’s the little things that make a big difference.

Treating every patient with dignity and compassion.

Understanding the individual needs of each and every patient.

Being there to offer reassurance whatever the time of day or night.

Giving patients a sense of achievement in everything they do.

Knowing that family and friends need to be supported too.

Helping a patient be cared for at home with familiar comforts.

We’re appealing to our local community to show the love for your local hospice by making a special donation.

With the average spend on Valentine’s Day being around £45 there’s plenty of love to go around.
