Man, 28, sought over stabbings
POLICE are looking for an Aughton man following a double stabbing outside a West Lancashire pub.
The incident took place assault happened at about 2.45am on April 28, outside the Horse Shoe Pub in Southport Road, Ormskirk.
Two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were taken to Ormskirk hospital to be treated for stab wounds.
At the time, Lancashire police said their condition was “serious but not life threatening”.
Police now want to track John James Jones, 28, of Ennerdale Drive, to speak with him in relation to the incident.
Jones is described as being 6ft 1in and of a heavy build.
He is known to have links to Merseyside, as well as the Lancashire area. Another Aughton man has been charged in connection with this incident.
Daniel Rushworth, 29, of Middlewood Road, has been charged with two counts of section 18 wounding and one of section 39 assault and was remanded in custody.
Det Insp Graeme Simpson said: “We are appealing for anyone with information about Jones’s whereabouts to please come forward.
“If you see him, or know where he is, please contact police immediately.”
