Time to talk shop... with other leaders
DO you run a business and want to connect with fellow business leaders, reap the benefits of helping to promote the area and connect with those organisations who are here to support business development and growth?
Then the Skelmersdale Ambassadors Network is for you.
Since its launch in 2016 the network has attracted interest from all over West Lancashire and beyond.
More than 100 businesses have already attended networking events, sharing knowledge and making connections.
There’s the chance to attend a free business breakfast event being held at West Lancashire College this morning, Thursday, July 12, between 7.45am and 9.30am where you can hear from influential guest speakers, enjoy a morning of networking and refreshments and take a tour of the new Construction, Engineering & Logistics Centre.
To grow and sustain the network a new fee structure will be introduced from September 1 2018.
The new fees will allow members to continue to benefit from:
A full programme of networking and social events.
Opportunities to showcase their business.
Access to the Skelmersdale Steering Group. Free seminars and workshops. Steve Jones, chair of the Skelmersdale Steering Group, said: “Skelmersdale is a great place to live, work and invest in your business.
“To continue the success that the Network brings to the borough we have ambitious plans to grow and build on these achievements.
“Join the Skelmersdale Ambassadors and you can become a powerful advocate who influences, attracts investment and encourages business growth in West Lancashire.”
Cllr Ian Moran, leader of West Lancashire Borough Council and portfolio holder for economic regeneration, said: “A key council priority is to be ambitious for our economy. The Ambassadors Network is continuing to develop and I would encourage businesses across the borough to join and help to make the local economy even stronger, which in turn will benefit everyone living and working here.”
