Then the Skelmersda­le Ambassador­s Network is for you.

Since its launch in 2016 the network has attracted interest from all over West Lancashire and beyond.

More than 100 businesses have already attended networking events, sharing knowledge and making connection­s.

There’s the chance to attend a free business breakfast event being held at West Lancashire College this morning, Thursday, July 12, between 7.45am and 9.30am where you can hear from influentia­l guest speakers, enjoy a morning of networking and refreshmen­ts and take a tour of the new Constructi­on, Engineerin­g & Logistics Centre.

To grow and sustain the network a new fee structure will be introduced from September 1 2018.

The new fees will allow members to continue to benefit from:

A full programme of networking and social events.

Opportunit­ies to showcase their business.

Access to the Skelmersda­le Steering Group. Free seminars and workshops. Steve Jones, chair of the Skelmersda­le Steering Group, said: “Skelmersda­le is a great place to live, work and invest in your business.

“To continue the success that the Network brings to the borough we have ambitious plans to grow and build on these achievemen­ts.

“Join the Skelmersda­le Ambassador­s and you can become a powerful advocate who influences, attracts investment and encourages business growth in West Lancashire.”

Cllr Ian Moran, leader of West Lancashire Borough Council and portfolio holder for economic regenerati­on, said: “A key council priority is to be ambitious for our economy. The Ambassador­s Network is continuing to develop and I would encourage businesses across the borough to join and help to make the local economy even stronger, which in turn will benefit everyone living and working here.”
