Bootcamp aims to help graduates snap up the best roles

-

EDGE Hill University’s Careers’ team is offering a chance to secure the best new graduate opportunities with a unique bootcampstyle workshop.

Called Commandeer Your Career, the unique workshop is available to Edge Hill’s former students who have graduated from 2016 onwards.

New for 2018, the free halfday bootcamps comprise interactive activities to help graduates progress through tough selection processes to kickstart their careers.

The sessions will include CV building, job application forms and interview, as well as other useful hints and tips to help secure graduate roles and schemes.

Edge Hill’s strength in employability is demonstrated by 96.6 per cent of its full-time first degree graduates finding work or further study within six months of graduating (HESA), and the university has a top ten shortlisting in TARGETjob’s National Graduate Recruitment Awards.

Boot camps will be held on the Monday, September 6 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm and repeated on October 2 between 5.30pm and 8.30pm

Opportunities to put the skills into action will be available at the university’s annual recruitment fair, organised by the employer liaison team, with approximately 50 organisations with careers available across a range of subject areas.

This year the event takes place on Tuesday, October 16, and is open to graduates as well as students.
