Community Link Foundation

WITH just over eight weeks to go it seems that it might be acceptable for us to start talking about Christmas!

It’s that time of year when people start to think about giving and we would love to be considered as a recipient for any fundraising you might be doing.

Community Link Foundation (CLF) is a local charity that awards grants to people and organisations from Southport, Ormskirk, Formby and the surrounding areas who are experiencing ill health, disability, or are in need of new equipment to improve their quality of life.

In recent months, people have applied to us for help with a range of things including funding towards medical equipment and money towards buying an electric bike to help a teenage boy get out and about with his friends and family.

There are a couple of ways that you can donate to CLF so that we can continue to help people in the local area.

One of those ways is by joining our 600 Club or signing up a family member or friend as their Christmas gift.

By joining the club, you would be giving someone the chance to win £1,000 in our monthly lottery.

As well as the monthly top prize of £1,000, an additional five people win £100 each month.

And, as the club is limited to 600 members, the chances of winning are always pretty high.

It costs just £5 a month and by being a member of the lottery you will be helping Community Link Foundation to raise money that can be used to help people and organisations in the local area who have applied for funding through our grant application process.

Another way to donate could be by making a donation to us rather than sending Christmas cards.

Just a small donation from a few people can make a real difference.

We would love to hear from anyone who would like to donate in this way.

We would also like to hear from any groups or individuals who are looking to fundraise in the new year, whether it’s through holding an event or nominating a charity of the year at work.

If you would like to help, or join the 600 Club, please get in touch via our website www.clfoundation. co.uk or find us on social media.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the CLF Comedy Workshop Showcase on Sunday night, and thanks to everyone who supported the event at the Ramada Hotel.

We are so grateful to you all and will publish a round-up of the event next week.
