Play area builders winning acclaim
AN ORMSKIRK playground designer company is gaining nationwide acclaim after the success of a project worth £100,000 at a London primary school.
E.den Play, a playground design and installation firm based in Scarisbrick, has recently completed the huge project at Moreland Primary School.
This follows the success of many projects E.den has completed at schools and nurseries in the Lancashire and Merseyside areas.
Moreland Primary, in the Clerkenwell district, moved into a new building two years ago, but at the time there was not the budget to invest in the outdoor space.
Now the bare tarmac yard is gone, and the children have a fun new playground with a climbing frame, a vegetable garden and stage area.
Sarah Palmer, director at E.den Play, says: “It was a wonderful project for us to work on, enabling us to provide the children with a whole host of outdoor learning opportunities in our all-natural E. den way”.
The playground was fully paid for through Section 106 money – cash given to the council from developers to help the local area.
Catherine Lawrence, deputy headteacher at Moreland, said: “It’s really great as many of these children do not have access to outside space to play in.
“They mostly come from homes that do not have gardens so school is their main source of outdoor play, so this is really going to enhance the teaching and their play.”
E.den Play started with projects in Lancashire and Merseyside and has grown through recommendation to a national firm which has delivered hundreds of installations nationwide.
The company’s designs are winning considerable recognition as the solution for natural, inspiring educational play experiences for children of all ages.
