Foot in the door for reflexologist
SCARISBRICK is to get its own reflexology school, run by local celebrity foot reader Jane Sheehan.
Jane is known around the world for her reflexology knowledge and her foot reading skills.
She is a regular on TV shows such as ITV’s This Morning with Phil and Holly, Loose Women and BBC’s Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two.
Her new school will be in Scarisbrick Village Hall.
An honorary member of the Association of Reflexologists, she has practised since 1999.
Jane began teaching foot reading internationally in 2003 and was a finalist for the Federation of Holistic Therapists Tutor of the Year.
Jane will be teaching the AoR recognised courses, and her connection with Temple Academy of Reflexology will ensure the students have a network for support and interaction.
Temple Academy will supply comprehensive course material, access to the learner area on its website, use of the Temple Academy library (which will be in the village hall and also available to the wider Scarisbrick community) and membership of the Temple Academy support group.
The reflexology course will be Level 3 and has been developed in close conjunction with Skills for Health.
It equips learners with the practical skills, knowledge and understanding, which ultimately allows them to practice as reflexologists.
There are five units assigned under the skills for health, health and social care sector.
One of the units reflexology specific.
