Police seek man, 24, over petrol threat

POLICE want to track down a 24-year-old after a man was covered in petrol and threatened with being set on fire.

The victim was on Glebe Road, Skelmersda­le, on July 23 when the petrol was poured over him through the car window.

Officers want to find Wigan man Curtis Fox in connection with a range of offences linked to that incident, including making threats to kill, assault, criminal damage and unauthoris­ed taking of a motor vehicle, and have warned the public to call 999 if they see him.

A spokesman for Lancashire police said that officers want to speak with Fox and urged him to “do the right thing and hand himself in to the nearest police station”.

Fox is described as being of medium build with cropped dark hair and has links to Skelmersda­le as well as Wigan.
