Po­lice seek man, 24, over petrol threat

PO­LICE want to track down a 24-year-old af­ter a man was cov­ered in petrol and threat­ened with be­ing set on fire.

The vic­tim was on Glebe Road, Skelmers­dale, on July 23 when the petrol was poured over him through the car win­dow.

Of­fi­cers want to find Wi­gan man Cur­tis Fox in con­nec­tion with a range of of­fences linked to that in­ci­dent, in­clud­ing mak­ing threats to kill, as­sault, crim­i­nal dam­age and unau­tho­rised tak­ing of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle, and have warned the public to call 999 if they see him.

A spokesman for Lan­cashire po­lice said that of­fi­cers want to speak with Fox and urged him to “do the right thing and hand him­self in to the near­est po­lice sta­tion”.

Fox is de­scribed as be­ing of medium build with cropped dark hair and has links to Skelmers­dale as well as Wi­gan.
