Two fires put out by crews

FIRE crews from Skelmersdale were called to a fire involving a domestic property on Hartshead, Birch Green, Skelmersdale.

The fire was found in a first floor room of the property and was extinguished with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.

Crews were called at 9.15pm on July 14.

Firefighters were also called to reports of a vehicle on fire on Stannought Road, Skelmersdale. On arrival at 11am on July 15, crews found a fire in the engine compartment of the vehicle.

The fire was extinguished using breathing apparatus and a hose reel.
