Firms can expand outdoors

HOSPITALITY owners in West Lancashire can now apply for a Temporary Pavement Café Licence to offer their customers outdoor seating areas in the pavement areas in front of their businesses.

As part of the council’s focus to support local businesses and aid the economic recovery from the impact of COVID, the decision has been made not to charge for the application.

Business owners can email: pavementcafelicence@ westlancs.gov.uk, to discuss their proposals before submitting an application to ensure that space for pedestrians and social distancing is maintained.
