Message is simple - get tested
WITH Covid-19 infection rates on the increase in the UK, it’s important that we all play our part to beat coronavirus.
NHS advice is that if you have symptoms, to please think of your friends, family and your local community and make sure you self-isolate and get a test.
Having symptoms of coronavirus can be very worrying, but by getting a test you can protect the people you care about.
There are no fees for the test, and if you have symptoms then you can book by visiting the NHS uk-dedicated COVID-19 testing site or, alternatively you can dial 119.
You must book in advance in order to get a test, and you will only be able to book from the previous evening.
Councillor Ian Moran, leader of West Lancashire Borough Council, said: “There are a lot of myths about coronavirus, for example that it only affects older people, while some may think that because they don’t know anyone who has had the risk isn’t so great.
“But coronavirus is a very real risk to our communities and can affect people of all ages. Please play your part and get a test if you have symptoms.”
