Shortlist sanctuary for award ceremony

-

WOODLANDS Animal Sanctuary is hoping that it will be nominated for the Pet Plan Insurance and the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Charity Awards 2021.

Nominations are now open, and after being made online, will be whittled down to just three finalists for each category by a panel of judges, made up of independent key industry representatives.

Finalists are then invited to the awards ceremony, where the winners are announced.

Woodlands were nominated last year, and are hoping for a win this year!

If you have rehomed a cat from Woodlands you will already have heard of Pet Plan, because you will have been given four weeks’ free insurance with them for your new fur baby.

Woodlands have also recently become a member of the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes; each member needs to meet very high standards and meet rigorous criteria to be accepted for membership.

This national association gives this local charity the support and guidelines they need to stay at the top of their game and continue to provide the best and most suitable lifesaving and life changing care for the animals that come through their doors.

Woodlands said: “To have nominations in any of the three categories would mean so much to the hardworking team of this animal rescue who may not be changing the world, but aim to change the world for the animals that come into their care.”

If you feel that they deserve a nomination you can choose any of the following three categories: Animal Charity Team of the Year; Animal Charity Employee of the Year; Animal Charity Volunteer of the Year.

Nominations can be made online.

The Woodlands team are so aware of the huge effect their dedicated army of volunteers and hardworking staff have, without whose combined effort they would not have the results they are so proud of.

They said: “A nomination, or even a win, would be such a marvellous way to acknowledge this and thank those whose efforts are so often hidden behind the scenes.”

Woodlands Animal Sanctuary are based in Holmeswood, near Rufford, Southport and Ormskirk, and look after ill, unwanted and neglected animals. They specialise in rehoming cats and guinea pigs, and rehabilitating hedgehogs.
