JUSTICE FOR JUNIOR Mum: I’ll exhume baby’s body in search for answers

- Stephen Stewart

A grieving mum wants to exhume her baby son’s body to find out what killed him.

Danielle Wilson, 25, fears trial heart medication led to Junior’s death after he was born at just 26 weeks.

She insists specialists could have done more to save the tot, but says she has been met with a wall of silence from hospital bosses.

Danielle, from Paisley, said: “I am sure the drug Indomethacin killed my son.

“They gave him the new drug as part of major tests across the world, but I believe it can actually worsen the problems he had.

“I keep asking for meetings and, when I do see any medical people, they often talk over me.

“The only thing that keeps me going through all this is fighting to get answers in his memory.

“I am prepared to exhume my son’s body to see what happened to him and get tests done so that I can have answers.”

Danielle says health chiefs refused to carry out a post-mortem on her little boy.

The tragedy comes less than three years after the Foxbar mother lost a stillborn baby girl, Brooke.

An NHS probe into Junior’s death in January is underway.
