- David Campbell

A dancing superstar put a group of talented Paisley youngsters through their paces.

Ashley Banjo, the leader of Britain’s Got Talent winning dance group Diversity, visited the Razzamataz Theatre Group in Paisley.

The TV star held workshops with students, teaching them routines from Diversity’s recent Genesis tour.

The workshop was designed for most ages and abilities and students not only got to learn from the Ashley, there was an opportunity for photos and questions at the end.

“It was a real privilege to work with Diversity, particularly their leader Ashley Banjo who is an idol for many of our students” said Amanda Campbell, owner of Razzamataz Paisley.

“We always have lots of experiences planned to make our students’ time at Razzamataz the most rewarding it can be.”

Amanda thanked Ashley for taking the time to work with the students in Paisley and Glasgow north.

She said: “Well done to some of our Paisley and Glasgow North students who took part in a memorable workshop with the amazing Ashley.

“Thank you to Ashley for this great opportunity.”

Ashley shot to fame on TV talent show Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 when his dance crew Diversity wowed the judges with their spectacular and innovative routines.

Since then Ashley has become a popular TV personality, recently hosting Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew, a show that took ordinary people and turned them into a proper dance group.

The Razzamataz School is a Dragons’ Den backed theatre franchise with more than 40 schools up and down the country.

It’s part of the Razzamataz ethos to get top class professionals to work with the students.
