Electric will be eclectic thanks to bumper lineup

- Frightened Rabbit and Dizzee Rascal to headline festival weekend

One of Scotland’s best emerging festivals has put together a corker of a lineup. Electric Fields, which is hosted on the stunning grounds on Drumlanrig Castle, in Dumfries and Galloway, has unveiled its biggest bill to date. Scottish folk rockers Frightened Rabbit and London grime star Dizzee Rascal will headline the weekend, over September 1 and 2. They’ll be joined by the likes of Band of Horses, Jesus and Mary Chain, Arab Strap, Glass Animals, Peter Hook & The Light, Crash Club, Kate Tempest, Car Seat Headrest, Real Estate, British Seapower and Anna Meredith.

Fans will enjoy This Is The Kit, Aldous Harding, Marnie, Sacred Paws, Savage Mansion, Future Get Down, The Cut, The Calm Fiasco, Nieves, 13 Crowes and Tiderays.

Paisley’s own The Vegan Leather, will also feature over the weekend.

And for those who are after more than an eclectic line-up of music, Electric Fields bosses will this year be expanding their food and drink range with a curated food village, and their very own ale and craft beer festival.

This year will also feature spoken word curated by Scotland’s finest, Neu! Reekie! and comedy, film and Q&As from some very special guests.

For youngsters, the “Our Kids Electric” area returns with a whole host of entertainm­ent featuring workshops and an adventure playground for all ages to enjoy.

Following rave reviews from 2016, Electric Fields is set to be a firm favourite this festival season.
