CAMPBELL MONEY Money would spend his entire playing career with the Saints. He would go on to manage the likes of Stranraer, Ayr United, Stenhousemuir and Cumnock. Money now works with the SFA, helping develop the player pathway system for the next generation of Scottish footballers.
TOMMY WILSON Would move on to play for Dunfermline, Hearts, Kilmarnock and Dumbarton before entering coaching. He worked for the SFA before taking up a reserve post at Rangers. Wilson’s career has since taken him to the US, where he works as academy director at MLS side Philadelphia Union.
DEREK HAMILTON The left back struggled with injuries in the wake of the‘87 cup victory and would leave the club just a year later. Spells at Stranraer and Morton were short-lived before he turned to the juniors with Irvine Meadow.
BILLY ABERCROMBY The captain on the day was another whose time at the Saints was almost up and he was away a year later. He would sign for Partick Thistle, before turning out for Cowdenbeath and East Stirling as his career came to a close.
DAVID WINNIE Winnie’s career would talk him across the globe. He would go to Aberdeen and Hearts, before going back to Paisley in 1998. Winnie’s career then went to Iceland with KR Reykjavik and Australia with Canberra Cosmos, before managing Dumbarton. Now a sports law solicitor.
NEIL COOPER After leaving St Mirren the centre back would join Hibernian before retiring. Cooper managed Forfar for three seasons before joining Aberdeen as a youth coach and subsequent caretaker. He is now the boss of Highland League side Inverurie Loco Works.
FRANK McGARVEY Would act as assistant under Tony Fitzpatrick before also managing Queen of

TONY FITZPATRICK Current CEO at the club, Fitzpatrick has since managed the Paisley side on two occasions. His coaching career has also taken him to the likes of Clydebank and Livingston. Fitzpatrick finally returned to the club last year to much acclaim.
