Rowdy yob is evicted

-

A neighbour from hell has been evicted for throwing wild all-night parties

Callum McDonagh, 20, was slapped with an antisocial behaviour order after a flood of complaints from shattered neighbours.

He was warned after screaming, banging on walls and ceilings, and loud music could be heard blasting from his flat.

McDonagh yesterday admitted repeatedly flouting the terms of his ASBO at Paisley Sheriff Court.

Fiscal depute Margaret McCallum told how police were called to the flat on multiple occasions to deal with noise complaints.

She revealed officers even found McDonagh trying to escape after leaping from a window in Auchenlodment Road, Johnstone, on February 5.

Cops were also called when a group of men could be heard shouting loudly inside the flat at around midnight on November 10.

McDonagh was arrested to ensure he attended for the hearing.

But defence lawyer John Gardner told how his client had changed after being forced to vacate his home.

He insisted his behaviour has improved after moving to nearby Burns Drive and had enrolled for a college course starting later this year.

Sheriff Colin Pettigrew warned he could jail the lout for ignoring the terms of the ASBO on two separate occasions.

He made McDonagh the subject of two community payback orders and ordered him to complete 210 hours of unpaid work in nine months.

Sheriff Pettigrew said: “This is to penalise you for your repeat conduct.”
