David’s in the saddle for charity

-

A big-hearted Paisley man is getting on his bike to take on an epic charity challenge.

David Morrison, 34, is on a mammoth solo cycle from Brussels to Barcelona to raise cash for Sport Relief.

The depot manager will take on the gruelling 1000km route over the next three weeks despite his not so meticulous planning.

He explained:“I’m doing my bit for Sport Relief to raise cash that will help to transform people’s lives across the UK and Africa.

“I have looked at the route on Google Maps, so I have a plan of what I want to do, but I won’t know where I am staying from day-today which is mildly scary, but I’ll wing it.”

David, who lives in Seedhill, Paisley, will pass through eight different countries, including Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco, France and Spain.

He is raising money for Sport Relief, which he believes is an important cause.

David went on:“Sport Relief do good work both here and abroad so I thought that it would be a good fit for this challenge.

“I hope to raise as much money as possible. So if anyone can spare a few quid then I would be really grateful. Your generosity really will help to make a world of difference to people living unimaginably tough lives.” • To donate to David’s fund visit, www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ David-Morrison82
