SMISA sponsorship deadline looms for youth teams

- St Mirren

Today is the final opportunity for local football sides to apply for SMISA sponsorship.

The St Mirren Independent Supporters Association (SMISA) members have voted every three months to approve avenues of funding. The recent vote approved £700 funding to be awarded to a local youth team for playing kit and teamwear.

This could be for boys or girls teams, for age levels up to and including under 16s.

The criteria is as stated: Open to all age levels up to and including under 16s; it must be for the club’s home team kit; SMISA will provide appropriate branding for the front of the shirts; it should be for one set of kit, with the club being allowed to decide supplementary teamwear or even second kit to utilise the full £700 budget; SMISA branding should also feature on supplementary items; the club must be Renfrewshire based.

The sponsorship application should include the club’s details, contact details and a clear indication of how the £700 will be spent.

Alongside the sponsorship, SMISA would look to keep our members informed of the club’s progress.

There is also an intention to involve St Mirren itself, though details of this are yet to be finalised.

It is possible that one club may look to apply for two home kits across two different age groups. So long as they work within the £700 budget we are open to discussions on how.

Deadline for application submissions is today, and applications should be made to SMISA and Kenny Morrison via kenny.morrison@smisa.net.

The same contact details can be used for expressions of interest and/or any further questions.

The draw would take place immediately after and the successful club would be informed shortly after the draw.
