It will be a great day at Piazza

Paisley’s Piazza is one of 140 shopping centres across the UK taking part in an event called One Great Day.

This takes place on Saturday from noon until 3pm and will support Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

The fun day will include children’s entertainment, face painting, jam tart making, a tombola, character appearances and more.

A Jack Sparrow lookalike will also be attending the event to delight and intrigue shoppers who love Pirates of the Caribbean

One Great Day was established in 2014 and has, so far, raised more than £ 250,000 for 93 different children’s charities along with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

Maureen Hill, centre manager of The Piazza, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be a part of One Great Day. Hosting an event like this gives us the chance to give something back to support the wonderful work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, which supports patients and families from across the UK.

“One Great Day is about community engagement and raising money for a number of great causes, but it is also a fantastic opportunity for families in the area to get together and enjoy a fun day out whilst spending quality time together.”
