Police have appealed for help to trace a teenage girl who has been described as “vulnerable”.

Stephanie McEwan was last seen at her home in Baillie Drive, Renfrew, where she lives with her mum and older sister, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.

She is described as around 5ft 4ins, of medium build and with long collar length brown hair and was last seen wearing a pink bomber jacket, light blue jeans and pale blue Adidas trainers.

Stephanie suffers from ADHD and has behavioural issues.

Sergeant Paul Edington, from Johnstone Police Office, said: “Stephanie’s family and friends are extremely worried about her and just want her home safe and well.

“She is understood to have some behavioural issues as a result of her ADHD which means that she often challenges any type of authority and shows disregard for her own safety.

“Stephanie is known to frequent Glasgow city centre around the Four Corners area and also Paisley town centre.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen Stephanie to please come forward because it is imperative that we trace her as soon as possible.

“I would also appeal directly to Stephanie to get in touch and let someone know she is safe — you’re not in any trouble, we all just want to know that you’re OK.

“Anyone with information with regards to Stephanie’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sergeants’ room at Johnstone police station via 101.”
