Jessica will go far

-

It was heartening to read of Paisley schoolgirl Jessica Fraser.

Not only will she be performing on the clarsach at the famous Bolshoi theatre in Moscow, but she will also be sitting her German exam while over there.

This is a wonderful mix of art and languages that is at the heart of so much that is good in the world.

You can just imagine 17-yearold Jessica making a career for herself in music, aided by her language skills.

Playing the harp with the Berlin or Vienna Philharmonics should be not problem for her.

More power to her elbow. Name and address supplied

ThanksJack

Great news yesterday about Jack Ross deciding to stay at St Mirren.

My family has supported The Buddies for generations and it seems Jack has the team on an even keel.

There is a lot of hope and positivity among the support just now and fans genuinely do have faith in Jack.

Everyone was holding their breath there for a few days when it emerged that Dundee were showing an interest in appointing him.

So it has been a relief to see him come out and publicly say that he will be staying in Paisley.

The lure of Dens Park, thankfully, wasn’t strong enough to nick the manager.

So we can all look forward to the next season with Jack still in charge and, hopefully, making a real go of it with some new signings.
