Saints newbies make team of the year
Another two of St Mirren’s summer signings have been recognised in the SPFL League One team of the year.
Goalkeeper Ross Stewart and midfielder Jordan Kirkpatrick have both been selected for their performances for Albion Rovers and Alloa Athletic last season.
The duo both signed for the Buddies on the same day, last Tuesday, as Jack Ross continues to shape up his side for the upcoming campaign.

An SPFL spokesman said:“An excellent season for the Rovers No 1, who has been rewarded with full-time football after St Mirren scooped him up for next season. He played a big part in the Coatbridge club remaining in the third tier.”
Meanwhile, Kirkpatrick’s 17 goals from midfield caught the eye.
“Another player joining St Mirren next term after the single most impressive season of his career to date.
“The midfielder scored a highly impressive 17 goals as the Wasps finished the season as the secondstrongest side behind Livingston.”
