The Paisley farmers’ market returns to County Square between 10am and 2pm..

Throughout the year up to 30 producers bring their amazing array of produce adding colour and vibrancy to this busy attractive square.

A leisurely walk round the market provides many opportunities to taste produce and discuss the characteristics and uniqueness of each offering.

Seasonal specialities include amazingly flavoursome tomatoes of several varieties, Scottish and UK award winning cheeses, chutneys and warming soup, hand made confectionery, farmhouse produced ice-cream, olive-based appetizers and snacks, flavoursome vegetarian and gluten free produce, Hebridean whisky liqueurs, local award winning beers from a nearby micro brewery and healthy raspberry and blueberry drinks.

To complete the family purchases, natural hand made soaps are on offer, as well as a wide range of locally grown plants, which add more than a splash of colour to the scene.

Some Saturdays you’ll even see cookery demonstrations featuring famous chefs and informal musical entertainment ranging from samba bands to local pipers.
