Take on this year’s apprentice challenge
Employers and young people have been urged to take on the Apprenticeship Challenge.
Developing the Young Workforce West is urging apprentice employers in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire to get involved and make a difference.
Supported by Skills Development Scotland, the Scottish Apprenticeship Challenge 2017 will see groups of apprentices take on projects that utilise and develop the skills they have gained to benefit their community.
The challenge is open to any organisation with staff currently following an apprenticeship framework, and either an individual apprentice, or a team of up to eight apprentices from any industry, from the private or public sector.
All participating teams will be invited to a ceremony in October where they will present their project to a panel of judges.
The categories for the awards will include: Most innovative project, best presentation, best report and an overall winner who will progress to the Scottish Apprenticeship Challenge National Awards.
Registration must be received by June 30 and the challenge should be completed by September 29.
