Take your seats for the fabulous Stone Roses

- Only a few tickets left for gig at Hampden

Organisers of The Stone Roses’ return to Glasgow have announced that there are only seating tickets left for the show next weekend.

The Manchester legends The Stone Roses are preparing to play their fourth ever show in the city as they take to the stage at Hampden on Friday, June 24, as part of a threedate UK stadium tour.

The group, which has headlined T in the Park twice since they reformed, has sold out the standing tickets, with a limited amount of seats available.

As well as a rare set from the indie legends, fans will also be treated to a support showing from Glasgow rockers Primal Scream.

Also on the bill is Edinburgh-born musician Steve Mason who is best known as the lead singer and one of the founding members of The Beta Band.

The Stone Roses were one of the pioneering groups of the ‘Madchester’ movement that was active during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

They released their debut album, The Stone Roses, in 1989, to critical acclaim, with many critics regarding it as one of the greatest British albums ever recorded.

Following the release of their second album, Second Coming, which was met with mixed reviews in 1994, the group disbanded.

In 2012 they returned and have since headlined festivals around the globe.

And for those who want to make the most of their day, and night, a pre-show and after-party have been organised.

Clothing brand Gio Goi are hosting an event at Classic Grand before and after the Mancunian four-piece take to the stage in front of the Glasgow crowd.

It all kicks off at 1pm at the venue on Jamaica Street and continues on into the wee hours – after the gig has finished.

Manchester’s best-loved DJs including Bez, Graeme Park and Clint Boon are among the line-up on the day and will be taking you back to the heady days of acid house.

Advance tickets cost £15 plus booking fee and can be purchased from www.skiddle.com
