Campus greets budding chemists
The University of the West of Scotland is to host a Royal Society of Chemistry event tomorrow.
Chemistry at Work at the Paisley Campus will see school pupils from throughout the west of Scotland in attendance.
The event will give more than 400 S5 and S6 pupils the opportunity to find out more about careers in chemistry.
It will also feature speakers from areas such as forensic science, chemical analysis and chemical engineering.
And there will be crime scene investigation and environmental science competitions for visiting students.
Ciaran Ewins, of UWS’s school of science and sport, said: “We are delighted to be hosting this event which will give pupils a greater understanding of the important role chemistry plays in our daily lives.”
