Telly ‘tec David is up for top award
Paisley’s David Tennant has been long-listed in the best actor category of the 2017 TV Choice Awards for his performance as Alec Hardy in TV crime drama Broadchurch.
Voting is now open in the first stage of the awards, which are decided by viewers themselves.
Richard Osman, best known as the boffin on TV quiz show Pointless, will be hosting the 21st annual awards.
They will come from the Dorchester Hot e l in London on Monday, September 4.
Former Paisley Grammar School pupil David starred as the detective in the hugely popular series.
The programme itself has been nominated for Best Drama Series.
D a v i d ’s co-stars Olivia Colman and Julie Hesmondhalgh are both on the Best Actress longlist for the roles of Ellie Miller and Trish Winterman.
