Right to choose our own future

-

It’s no wonder there are complaints about the Scottish education system when the leaders of the British political parties in Scotland seem to think that coming second, third and fourth makes them winners at the UK General Election.

Even with all their seats combined, they still don’t manage to reach the number of seats won by the SNP.

For the past three elections ,the Tory leader in Scotland (along with her Labour and Lib Dem allies) has called for each election to be a protest against a second referendum on Scottish Independence.

Apparently, neither of these political leaders believe the Scottish people should have the democratic right to choose their own future.

However, in each election – the Scottish Parliament, local council and now the UK General Election – the SNP has won more MSPs, more councillors and more MPs than any other party.

Following the logic of the British political parties, maybe it’s now time for them to give up on the union?
