Revved up for fun

Two classic cars cruised along to the Erskine charity this week to help promote a show that will get motoring fans all revved up.

A 1967 Jaguar E-Type and a 2016 Ferrari 488GTB were at the estate in Bishopton to promote the Erskine Classic Car Show.

It takes place on Saturday, July 1, from noon until 5pm, at Intu Braehead Arena and Boardwalk.

This is the first year the popular event has been held at the shopping mall and more than 200 cars from across the decades will be on show.

Vehicles include a 1920s Ashley 750 Special; a 1930s Vauxhall Holden 14 J TypeDHC; an Alfa Romeo Spider 54 from the 1950s and cars from the 1970s like a Triumph Spitfire and Raliant Ant TW9.

Modern classics include the Lamborghin­i Aventador, Ford Mustang GT, Jaguar XF and Ferrari Calfornia.

There will also be plenty of cars you might not have seen before, like an Austin 1950s pedal car, as well as a vintage Bentley that was once owned by Princess Grace of Monaco.

In addition to all the vehicles, there will be stalls, a funfair and entertainm­ent making it a day for all the family.
