Two great bands... for the price of one
Big Country and Skids team up
Live music fans will be treated to two of Scotland’s top bands for the price of one when they arrive in Paisley.
Bosses at LNP Promotions had announced gigs for The Skids and Big Country, playing the Lagoon Centre and Town Hall in August and November.
However, after discussing the charity shows with both bands, it’s been decided to combine both shows on the one date, Friday, November 17, at the town hall.
And fans who’ve bought tickets for either gig, will now get both bands for the price of one.
Gary Kerr of LNP Promotions told the Paisley Daily Express: “We sincerely apologise to everyone who had already bought tickets for August 5, but the chance of bringing these two iconic bands together will be such a massive boost to Loud’n’Proud, we’d have been mad to not grab the opportunity with both hands.
“Big Country and The Skids have never performed together on the same bill. That day has now, unbelievably, arrived.
“These are passionate performers who are passionate about giving back to the community.
“It is going to be an absolutely massive day.”
A spokesman for both bands added: “Someone happened to notice that each band was playing a show for the charity and made the point that, by both bands performing on the one date, a historic combination of both – for the first time ever in Scotland – could really make a difference to Loud’n’Proud, a very, very worthwhile cause. “It was as simple as that “. Tickets already bought for the shows will be honoured, and those who can’t make the rescheduled Skids date will be be offered a full refund.
Gary said: “We ask you to contact where you got your ticket from, arrange them to be returned and a refund will be made.
“And new tickets for the historic joint show will be on sale on Monday morning at 10am.
“There’s very limited availability for these as you will imagine so please get them early to avoid disappointment.”
