Survival is the name of the game

A free event focussing on ‘survival’ will be held as part of an arts programme.

The minds behind the worldwide CreativeMornings talks have inspired an event which will be hosted at Paisley Arts Centre tomorrow. (FRI)

It will include a talk from Dan Coughlan, curator of textiles at Paisley Museum.

A spokesman for the event said: “In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community

“The concept was simple, breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.

“Today, attendees gather in cities around the world to enjoy fresh coffee, friendly people, and an international array of breakfast foods.

“Volunteer hosts and their team members organise local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals.

“This month, our creativity will be empowered by the humbling stories of survival— from job loss, heartbreak, to life-altering moments.

“We must not forget that the necessity of survival imbues us. The fact that we’re fragile and complex doesn’t make us weak. In fact, it makes us stronger.”

The event takes place between 9am and 10.30am.
